Funeral services for Donald Leslie (Don) Watkins Sr. age 83 will be held Saturday at 3:00 at the Mt. Olivet Baptist Church. Rev. Buddy Amerson and Rev. Danny Holley will officiate. Burial will be in the Mt. Olivet Baptist Church Cemetery directed by Norton Funeral Home. Visitation will be following the service in the Family Life Center at Mt. Olivet Baptist Church. Anyone who would like to view Mr. Watkins may do so one hour prior to the service and on Saturday anytime before 1:00 pm. Friends may also call at the residence at 382 Mt. Don was born a son of the late Elbert Leslie & Lorene Allgood Watkins. He owned and operated Don’s Camperland for 50 years. He was a member of Mt. Olivet Baptist Church, a member of the choir and Sunday School Class. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and Great Uncle and he loved all children and was an Air Force Veteran.

Surviving are his wife of 32 years, Debbie Walters Watkins, Patrick; two sons, Don (Tammy) Watkins, Hartsville and Tim (Julie) Watkins, Hartsville; one daughter, April (Chris) Saleeby, Hartsville; two step children, Daniel (Elizabeth) Andrews, McBee and Brandi ( Trey) McLaurin, Patrick; two grandchildren, Nick and Jacob Watkins; five step grandchildren, Emma, Annabelle and DaniRose Andrews, Harlan and Liam McLaurin; one brother, Larry (Sandy) Watkins, Summerton. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Tyson Watkins and a daughter Tammy Watkins.
