Denise Lynn Drake

Mrs. Denise Lynn Drake, 44, of Hartsville, passed away Saturday evening, March 26^th, 2022, while at McLeod Health of Florence. 

A service to celebrate her life will be conducted at 11:00 on Saturday morning, April 2^nd, 2022, from the Chapel of Norton Funeral Home with Reverend Eddie Harrington officiating.

Being an aunt and great-aunt to 25, Denise was known as a second mother to many and was fond of her “borrowed babies.”  She always spoke often and highly of them.  Ms. Drake was a graduate of Tamassee-Salem High School and obtained her Bachelor’s Degree from Francis Marion University.  She was known throughout the community for her never ending spirit of generosity and creative ideas. 

Surviving to cherish her memory are her children: Ronald Sansbury, Ansley Sandbury, and Kelsey Sansbury; grandchildren: Annaliyah Sansbury, Journee Littlejohn, Lianah Sansbury Ariel Sansbury, Julian Sansbury, Joriah Sansbury, and Adalynn Sansbury; parents, Thomas & Carolyn Drake; Godchildren: Nathan McDonald and Mayson Thomas; siblings: Stephen Drake, Thomas Drake, Karen Drake, Kristy Sova, Sunee Walters, Brian Drake, Patricia Drake, Jason Drake, and Betsy Drake.
