Funeral services for Delores Hendrix Tyner age 86, will be held Thursday at 2:00 at the Lakeview Baptist Church. Rev. Ken Hughes will officiate. Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery directed by Norton Funeral Home. Friends may visit and sign the register book anytime Wednesday between 2 & 4 pm at the funeral home and a visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church.
Delores was born in Lydia a daughter of the late Edward and Janie Vinson Hendrix. She retired from Sonoco Products Company and worked several years at the Manhattan Restaurant. She was a member of Lakeview Baptist Church. She was a graduate of Lydia High School where she had perfect attendance for twelve years. She along with her husband owned and operated Tyner’s Diner in Kelleytown. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great great grandmother.
Surviving are three children, Marie (Eddie) Timmons, Hartsville, Ricky (Wanda Springs) Atkinson, Hartsville and Danny Freeman, Hartsville; Six grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husbands, David Atkinson, William B. Freeman and Charles Tyner; one sister, Louise Atkinson and one brother, James Hendrix.
