Services for Deanna Lee Galloway “Bunny” Rhodes age 79 widow of Leslie W. Rhodes will be held Monday, September 19, 2016 at 2:00pm at the Chapel of Norton Funeral Home. Dr. Rev. Gary Colbach will officiate with burial in Magnolia Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the services.
Mrs. Rhodes passed away on Saturday, September 17, 2016 at the Mcleod Hospice House. She was born in Hartsville the daughter of the late Henry Lee and Letha Barnes Galloway. She was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church and was a devoted Christian, one of her favorite sayings was “Jesus keep me near the Cross”. She was a retired nurse having worked at Byerly Hospital and The Saleeby Center. She had a wonderful personality with a contagious happy attitude. She had a love for animals, loved her family and loved life to its very fullest.
Surviving are her sister, Betty Gene Galloway Morrison, Hartsville; nephews, Tilden Lee (Debbie) Galloway, Jr., Florence, Finley F. “Bubba” (Frances) Morrison, III, Hartsville, Frankie Lee (Sandra) Morrison, Hartsville; nieces, Kay (Mike) Mercer, Summerville, Robin (Mike) Hudson, Ninety Six, Gayle (Larry) Smith, Gainesville, GA, numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Tilden Lee Galloway, Sr. a sister, Mary Jo Galloway Clark, a nephew, William L. “Billy” Morrison.
