David Steen

View Remembrance Video Funeral services for David Jacob Frog DJ Steen, 85, who passed away Wednesday, December 23rd, 2015, will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday in the Chapel of Norton Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Union United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Mr. Steen was born in Chesterfield County, a son of the late Flynn & Minnie Gainey Steen. He was retired from Daniels Construction Company after 25 years of service. David was a loyal husband of 46 years to Marilyn ONeal Steen, and was a loving father. Surviving are: his wife of the home; sons: Wayne Steen, and wife, Wendy of Camden, and David, Jr., Steen, and wife, Cheryl of Branchville; daughters: Susan Boylston and Kimberly Steen, both of Hartsville, and Kathy Branchman of Pelion; 19 grandchildren; numbers great-grandchildren; and a sister, Irene Gainey of Orangeburg. He was preceded in death by daughters: Mary Frances Jeffcoat and Veronica Steen; brothers: Mack Steen, Sam Steen, Richard Steen, and Buck Steen; sisters: Bertha Douglas and Viola Mcgugan.
