Funeral services for David " Dave " Hilton Jones age 74 will be held Wednesday at 2:00 at the New Providence Baptist Church. Rev. Cliff Leonard will officiate. Burial will be in the New Providence Cemetery directed by Norton Funeral Home. Visitation will be Tuesday 5-8 pm at the funeral home.

David was born in Hartsville a son of the late James Carl and Marguerite Melton Jones. He was a member of New Providence Baptist Church, a past Deacon, Sunday School Teacher, member of the Brotherhood, Choir, Building C ommittee and very active in anything that needed to be done at the church. He was owner of David Jones Recycling consultant LLC.

Surviving are his wife, Sharon Tedder Jones, Covington, GA; one son, David Herman Jones, Charlotte, N.C.; two brothers, Carl Jones, Hartsville and Howard (Cindy) Jones, Hartsville; five sisters, Katherine (Olin) Morrison, McBee, Vicki Irick, Darlington, Celia Mixon, Hartsville, Sally (Bob) Turbeville, Columbia and Janna (Jerry) Davis, Gilbert; brother in law, Harold Galloway, Columbia.
