Danny Ray Smith

Mr. Danny Ray Smith, 70, of Hartsville, went to be with The Lord on Sunday morning, October 23^rd, 2022, while at home.

His funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 on Thursday afternoon, October 27^th, 2022, from North Hartsville Baptist Church.  Reverend Ladell Humphries will officiate with burial following in Magnolia Cemetery.  The family will be receiving friends Wednesday evening, from 5-7 at Norton Funeral Home.

A native and lifelong resident of Hartsville, Mr. Smith was a son of the late Alfred Wesley & Geneva Steadman Smith.  Danny was the founder of Smith Flooring, a company he ran for 45 years and retired in 2008.  He was a kind and giving man who would do anything he could for anyone else.  He and his wife enjoyed going to the beach, spending time on the boat, and fishing. 

Surviving are his wife of 51 years, Helen Smith of the home; children, Jennifer Rhodes and Dub (Heather) Smith both of Hartsville; grandchildren: Noah Rhodes, Chapin Rhodes, Brayden Smith, and Bella Smith; siblings, Mikey (Kathy) Smith and Angie (Jackie) Gainey.

He was preceded in death by his parents and an infant brother.
