Clennie M. "Mack" Walters, Jr.

Mr. Clennie McDowell “Mack” Walters, Jr., 73, of Cassatt, passed away Monday afternoon, October 24^th, 2022, while at home with his family.

His service will be conducted at 2:00 on Thursday afternoon, October 27^th, 2022, from the Hartsville Chapel of Norton Funeral Home.  Reverend Jeff Steen will officiate with burial following in the Harmony Baptist Church Cemetery.  The family will be receiving friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

A native of Bethune and later of Cassatt, Mr. Walters was a son of the late Clenie M., Sr. & Eula Gaskins Walters.  Mack was a man of integrity with a very strong work ethic.  He retired from Sonoco Products Company after 42 years of service.  He was a man who was firm, but very loving to his family. 

Surviving are his wife, Mary Walters of the home; daughter, Sharon (Blake) Hill of Lexington, step-daughter, Beth McCarty of McBee; grandchild, Eric (Dani) McManus; step-grandchild, Peyton Rowe; sister-in-law and caregiver, Amy Blackwell and her fiancé Brian McCarty.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Charlie William Walters, Sr.
