Clarence Boatwright

Mr. Clarence Robert “Bobby” Boatwright, 80, of Hartsville, passed away Tuesday, April 4th, 2017, at his residence.

His funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday in the Chapel of Norton Funeral Home. The family will be receiving friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Mr. Boatwright was born in Chesterfield, a son of the late Ira & Blanche Oakley Boatwright. He worked and retired from Bloomingfall of Marion after several years of service. One is his favorite pastimes was sitting on the front porch, talking with his brother-in-law, Roland O’Neal.

Surviving are his grandchildren: Tonya Johnson and husband, Jeremy of Hartsville, Cayce Sellers and husband, Cornelius of Darlington, Lori Mcelroy and husband, Robert of Hartsville, and Mickey Johnson of Gibson, NC; great-grandchildren: Landon, Zach, Olivia, Aaliyah, Ashanti, Sebastian, Eric, and Kimberly; sister, Brenda Hodge; sister-in-law, Bonnie Boatwright; brother-in-law, Roland O’Neal; special friend, Glen Skipper; and many nieces and nephews.
