Christine Blackwell Ratliff, age 86, went to her Heavenly Home on January 29. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 3:00pm at McBee Baptist Church. Rev. Charlie Short and Rev. Richard Clark will officiate. Burial will be in the McBee Cemetery directed by Norton Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 1:30 – 3:00 at the church.
Mrs. Ratliff was born in McBee, a daughter of the late Charlie Maxwell and Annie Mae Andrews Blackwell. She was a member of the McBee Baptist Church. She worked in textiles for many years. She was creative and loved nature. She was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and great grandmother.
Surviving are one son, William Leonard “Lynn” (Ellice) Ratliff, Jr., Tulsa, OK; four daughters, Deborah “Debbie" (Scott) Timms, Hartsville; Monissa Dawn (Dennis) West, Bethune; Tonda Ratliff (Randy) Thomas, Danville, VA; and Laura Ratliff (Steven) Lovelace, McBee; grandchildren, Brandy West, Crystal Earle, Kelly West, Daniel Earle, Hank Ratliff, Hailey Lovelace, Claire Ratliff, Alana Thomas and William “Billy” Lovelace; great grandchildren, Kayleigh West, Clara Beth Earle, Kimber Melton and Wyatt Earle. She was preceded in death by her husband William Leonard Ratliff, Sr., grandson, Seldon Thomas; siblings, Louise Dean, Charlie (C.M.) Maxwell Blackwell, Jr., Richard Blackwell, Van Blackwell, and Ruth Virginia Blackwell.
