Charles David (Chad) Gilbert, Jr.

Mr. Charles David (Chad) Gilbert, Jr. age 60 passed away October 8 at the McLeod Hospice House. A Private Service will be held at a later date.

Chad was born in Hartsville a son of Charles David (Charlie) Gilbert, Sr. and the late Glenda Anderson Gilbert. Chad had a giving heart and a willingness to help anyone he could. He received an Associate Degree from Florence-Darlington TEC in Shop Maintenance. He had worked at CP&L and Sonoco Products Company in the Millwright Shop.

Surviving is his father, Charles David (Charlie) Gilbert, Sr. Hartsville; Aunt & Uncle, Joyce and Jimmy Ousley, Hartsville and their daughter Nicole Baker, Iowa; Cousins, Marvene Rowland and Jimmy, Summerville; Angela & Bill Stokes, Hartsville; Numerous other family and friends. The family would like to acknowledge and thank Berdie for the love and care she has extended to the family over many years. In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by a brother, Woody Gilbert; his Maternal Grandparents, Quincey and Bea Anderson of Timmonsville and his Paternal Grandparents, Ruth Gilbert Lockett of Hartsville and Robert Conway Gilbert, of Hartsville.
