Cathy Feagin Matuse

Cathy Feagin Matuse, age 66, beloved mother, and grandmother, peacefully passed away on September 2, 2023. She was born on July 6, 1957, in her hometown of Hartsville, SC. Cathy was a remarkable woman who made a significant impact on those around her through her kind heart.

Cathy worked as a seamstress at Hartsville Manufacturing and Red Fox Apparel. Her skillful hands meticulously crafted garments that brought joy to many.

Cathy's greatest pride and joy were her children and grandchildren. Her daughter Melissa (David) Crowley and son George (Karen) Matuse were the center of her world. She showered them with endless love, support, and guidance throughout their lives. Her grandchildren Olivia Crowley and Gunner Crowley held a special place in her heart and were truly the lights of her life.

In addition to all of Cathy's personal achievements, she touched the hearts of many others with her kindness and compassion. She was always willing to lend a helping hand or lend an ear for those in need. Her warm smile could brighten even the darkest of days.

To honor Cathy's memory and pay tribute to the beautiful life she lived, a visitation will be held on September 3rd from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Melissa and David Crowley's Residence located at 1592 Manchester Dr, Hartsville, SC 29550. Friends and loved ones are welcome to attend and share their fondest memories of Cathy during this time of remembrance.

She was preceded in death by her husband, George Matuse and her parents, Raymond and Bobbie Beasley Feagin.

On September 4th at 11:00 AM, a graveside service will be held at Savannah Advent Christian Church Cemetery in Bishopville, SC. The address is 1948 Ashland-Stokes Bridge Rd, Bishopville, SC 29010. This will be an opportunity for family and friends to gather one last time to celebrate Cathy's life and say their final goodbyes.
