Carson Dixon

Carson Dixon age 91 passed away May 2 at The Retreat at Carolina Bay. A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday May 6 at the Chapel Norton Funeral Home with visitation following the service at the funeral home. Rev. Kenny Lynch will officiate. A private burial will be held in Rivers of Living Waters Cemetery.

Carson was born in Hartsville a son of the late Daniel Lee Dixon and Clara Bell Gainey Dixon. He retired from Sonoco Products Company after 40 years of service as a Truck Driver. He was a member of Fourth Street Baptist Church. He was an Army Veteran and served in Korea during the Korean War.

Surviving are two sons, Daniel Carson (Rosemary) Dixon, Myrtle Beach and Bradley Stewart Dixon, Hartsville; two grandchildren; a special niece and best friend till the end, Brenda (Richard) Allen, Hartsville. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Betty Allen Dixon; four brothers, Monroe Dixon, Cohen Dixon, D.L. Dixon and Lee Edward Dixon.
