Carroll Nichols

Bishopville, S.C.

Mr. Carroll Nichols, age 87, went to his Heavenly Home on August 6 while at the McLeod Hospice House with his loving family by his side.

Funeral services will be held Saturday at 3:00 at the Calvary Baptist Church (495 Calvary Church Road, Bishopville, S.C.). Visitation will be one hour prior to the service in the Fellowship Building. Rev. Stephen Watson will officiate. Burial will be in the Calvary Baptist Church Cemetery directed by Norton Funeral Home.

Carroll was born November 25, 1936, to the late Alphonso Nichols and Ruby Stewart Nichols. Carroll retired from DuPont in Camden after many years of service and then retired later from Lee County Recycling Center in the Cedar Creek area of Bishopville. He enjoyed being outside and working in his garden, fishing, cooking and always helping others. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.

Surviving is his wife, Annette Watson Nichols, Bishopville; one son Martin Nichols of the home; one daughter, Robin (Garrett) Gardner, Hartsville; one grandson, Rhett (Autumn) Gardner, Lebanon, New Hampshire; one sister, Ann (Hamer) Parnell, Lamar; his nieces, Nancy (Paul) Booth, Gina (Clint) Woodman, his nephew, Tommy (Melissa) Parnell.
