Carolyn Gainey Perdue

It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Carolyn Gainey Perdue.

Mrs. Perdue age 77 passed away on Sunday, April 28, 2024 at the McLeod Hospice House in Florence, SC.  She was born in Hartsville, the daughter of the late Buddy Odom and Lois Odom Woods.  

Mrs. Perdue worked at A.O. Smith, a member of Spring Branch Baptist Church, she loved word puzzles and enjoyed reading.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Sherri (Danny) Dixon, Chesterfield; grandchildren, Lyndsey A. McKay, Elijah Dixon; nephew, Tim Gainey; cousins, Beth Cagle (Lee), Janice Gainey (Victor).

She was preceded in death by a brother, Luther Gainey and a great grandchild, Elise McQueen.

​Graveside services of remembrance will be held 3:00pm Thursday at Palmetto Baptist Church Cemetery.  Pastor Russell Gainey will officiate, directed by Norton Funeral Home.  Visitation will be held Thursday, 12:30-2:00pm at Norton Funeral Home.

Memorials may be made to St. Jude's Children Hospital.
