Carole Barfield

Hartsville, S.C. Funeral services for Carole Rae Lane Barfield, age 72, who passed away Oct. 23, will be held Tuesday at 2:00 at the Emmanuel Baptist Church. Dr. Gary Colboch will officiate. Burial will be in the Cedar Creek Baptist Church Cemetery directed by Norton Funeral Home. Visitation will be Monday 5-7 pm at the Funeral Home. Mrs. Barfield was born in Lamar a daughter of the late William Curtis Lane & Mazzalee (Mac) Polson Lane. She was retired from Sonoco Products Co. after 37 years of service, member of the Old Timers Club, Emmanuel Baptist Church and the Eastern Star. Surviving are, one daughter, Vicki (Carol) Gilbert, Hartsville, one son, Kenneth Wayne Wilkes, Charleston, two grandchildren, Adam (Denise) Gilbert, Hartsville, Erin Gilbert, Charleston, two great grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her husband Curtis Clayton Barfield.
