Carlton Dick, Sr.

A Liturgy of The Word for Mr. Carlton F. Dick, Sr. age 82 will be held on Wednesday at 11:00am at the Chapel of Norton Funeral Home.  Father Dan Patineau will officiate, with burial in Westview Cemetery.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the services at the funeral home on Wednesday.

Mr. Dick passed away on Sunday, July 08, 2018 at the McLeod Hospice House.  He was born in Axtell, Kansas the son of the late Alvin and Mary Holthaus Dick.  He attended Benedictine College and served in the Air Force.  He worked for Sonoco for 20 years before opening his own trucking company.  Carlton was a man who loved the outdoors.  His favorite pastimes included hunting, fishing, golf and Atlanta Braves baseball.  He leaves behind many special friends from Carolina Lunch and Carolina Pines Cardiac Rehab, that took special care in looking out for Carlton.

Surviving are his son, Carl (Randi) Dick, Hartsville; daughters, Carla (Chesley) Bryan, Hartsville, Kimberly (Darryl) Hardwick, Galivants Ferry; sister, Joann McCune of, Topeka, Kansas; six grandchildren, Erin Dick, Brantley Dick, Lee Harrison, Emily Bryan, Taylor Hardwick, Dillon Hardwick; two great grandchildren, Aubree and Mason Harrison.

He was preceded in death by a sister Jean Vavricek.
