Mr. Bryan Anthony "Tony" Smith, 64, of Hartsville, passed away peacefully on Wednesday afternoon, April 28th, 2021, while at home with his family by his bedside.
A graveside service will be held at 4:00 on Saturday afternoon, May 1st, 2021, from Flowers Cemetery with Reverend Patrick Dye officiating. The family will be receiving friends Friday evening, April 30th, 2021, from 5-7 PM at Norton Funeral Home.
A native and life-long resident of Hartsville, Mr. Smith was a son of Carolyn Millsap and the late, Mason Smith. Bryan was a very hard worker who loved being outdoors; hunting and fishing were two hobbies that brought him great joy. Although he had a love for the outdoors, his true love was his family; especially his pride and joy, his daughter. Bryan had the personality of someone who never met a stranger, always put others before himself, and loved talking on the phone with his mother. He was a member of Hartsville Church of God and was a firm believer in Jesus.
Surviving to cherish his memory are his high school sweetheart and the love of his life for 42 years, Louretta Smith of the home; daughter, Miranda Smith of Hartsville; mother, Carolyn (Jim) Millsap of Hartsville; siblings: Nina (Jimmy) Driggers of Florence, Debbie (Jack) Hyman of Raleigh, NC, Patsy (Clifford) Hall of Hartsville, Kim Walters of Hartsville, Buster (Faith) Smith of Hartsville, and special nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father.
The family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to Agape Hospice for helping them at home.
Memorials may be made to Swampland Gamecalls, 6848 Freedom Rd., Branchville, SC 29432.
Norton Funeral Home is honored to be serving the Smith family.
