Brenda Jordan Byrd

Mrs. Brenda Jordan Byrd age 73 passed away Wednesday, May 20, 2020 at her residence.  Private services will be held with Pastor Jeremy Neal officiating, directed by Norton Funeral Home.

Mrs. Byrd was born in Patrick, SC the daughter of the late Hoyt and Grace Tolson Jordan.  She was a longtime member of Brown Springs Baptist Church.  Brenda took great pride in driving a bus for special need children, she was a caregiver to these children and they loved her dearly.  She was a wonderful cook, and was well known for her chicken casserole.

Left to cherish her memory are her husband, John “Danny” Byrd, Byrdtown, they have been together as a devoted couple for over 48 years; daughter, Sharon Walters, Hartsville; brother, David (Sylvia) Jordan, Columbia, Floyd (Rebecca) Jordan, Florence; sister, Geraldine Jordan Griggs, Patrick; grandchildren, Candace (Clint) Suggs, Society Hill, Jordan Lee Speight, Chicago, IL, Franklin Gainey, Hartsville; several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Hazel Cagle, brothers, Heyward Jordan and Laverne Jordan.
