Mr. Bobby John Matthews, age 70 of Scranton passed away peacefully at his residence on October 19, 2024. Bobby was born in Scranton a son of the late Bobby and Ruby Evans Matthews.

Our hearts are sad that you had to go. You will be terribly missed but fondly remembered for the special times that we shared over the years. With much love, we send you home to our Heavenly Father.

Surviving is one daughter, Jennifer Cherae (Preston) Griggs, Hartsville; one son Robert Blake Matthews of Scranton; the children's mother, Deborah Martin Matthews of Camden, S.C.

We want to express our appreciation to everyone that has sent up prayers for our family. Prayers are the greatest thing that anyone could do for us during this difficult time.

There will be a private family memorial service at a later date.
