Services for Bobby Joe Gaskins age 84 will be held Thursday at 3:00pm at the Chapel of Norton Funeral Home.  Pastor Wayne Williams and Pastor Charlie Short will officiate with burial in Westview Cemetery.  Visitation will be held 5:00-7:00pm Wednesday at the funeral home.

Mr. Gaskins passed away on January 7, 2019.  He was born in McBee the son of the late Michael Joe and Lizzie Reynolds Gaskins.  He was a member of Mt. Calvary Baptist Church, he  worked at Sacony Sewing Plant, Mafco and retired from Sonoco Products Company.  He enjoyed having prayer meetings at his home and helping with the Nursing Home Ministry.

Surviving are his wife of 59 years, Elizabeth Brown Gaskins, McBee; daughter, Lisa (John) Hicks, McBee; grandchildren, Kevin (Tina) Gaskins, Justin (Laura) Hicks, Cory (Alyssa) Hicks, Casey (Derek) Otto, Abby (Austin) Rogers; great grandchildren, Alexander Gaskins, Lelond Gaskins, Kayden Gaskins, Kaylee Gaskins, Autumn Hicks, Boone Otto, Hagen Rogers; siblings, Roy (Frankie) Gaskins, McBee, Grady Gaskins, McBee, Claudia (Troy) Parker, Bethune, Joyce Perdue, Bethune, Ruth (Billy) Dowey, Lugoff.

He was preceded in death by a son, Michael Joe Gaskins, daughter, Wanda Kay Gaskins, brother, J.C. Gaskins, sister, Dorothy Gaskins Mozingo.
