Mrs. Bobbie Hagler Mozingo, a beloved member of the community, passed away at home surrounded by her loving family. Born on January 8th, 1939, Bobbie led a fulfilling life dedicated to serving others and leaving a positive impact on those around her.
Throughout her career, Bobbie's passion for nurturing young minds shone brightly as she served as a Daycare owner for 14 years. Her dedication to education extended to her work in the public school system alongside the cafeteria staff. Additionally, her involvement with the Hartsville Red Cross further showcased her commitment to helping those in need.
Bobbie will be fondly remembered for her love of children, a sentiment that was evident during her time as a dedicated Daycare owner. Her faith was an integral part of her life, as she was an active member of Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church. Within the church community, Bobbie lent her voice to the choir and acted as a youth leader, inspiring many with her kindness and devotion.
In her leisure time, Bobbie found joy in activities like swimming and playing softball, demonstrating her vibrant spirit and love for staying active.
Left to cherish her memory are her son Chris Privette (Cathy), Lamar; daughter Patti Parnell (Rick) from Lamar. She is also survived by step-sons Bryan Mozingo and Eddie Mozingo; sisters Linda Mann and Donna Cross from Kannapolis, NC; grandchildren Adam Privette (Shannon), Casie Yarbrough (TJ), Britton Privette, Chandler Shirley; step-grandchildren Joseph Smith-Israel, Tyler Israel, Gace Mozingo, Lindsay Mozingo, Lauren Mozingo; great-grandchildren Cary, Gray, Hudson, Charli, Zoe, Ali Grace, and Grayson.
Bobbie was preceded in death by her parents Robert S. and Ellie Mae Griggs Hagler, husband J.E. Mozingo, three brothers, and three sisters. Her absence will be deeply felt by all who had the privilege of knowing this remarkable woman.
A Funeral Service will be held 3:30pm Wednesday, March 6, 2024 at Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church in Lamar, SC. Following the service, she will be laid to rest at Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery. A visitation period will also take place at the church Felllowship Hall following the services to allow friends and family to pay their respects.
