Hartsville, S.C. Funeral services for Billy W. McKenzie age 73, who passed away December 23, will be held Friday at 2:00 at the Chapel Norton Funeral Home. Rev. Ricky Jenkins will officiate. Burial will be in the Damascus Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Billy was born in Chesterfield County, a son of the late Junius N. & Mary Belle Shaw McKenzie. He was the former owner of McKenzie Well Drilling and McKenzie Laundromat. He was a devoted husband , father and grandfather and was a member of the Middendorf Church of the Living God. Surviving are his wife, Patricia (Pat) Hicks McKenzie, Hartsville; step mother, Joyce McKenzie Bell, Hartsville; one son, James Albert (Julie) McKenzie, Hartsville; three daughters, Sharon McKenzie, Hartsville, Jodie (Trevor) Poston, Florence and Trinidy McKenzie, Hartsville; seven sisters, Carolyn (Frank) Alexander, Hartsville, Claudia (Freddie) James, Hartsville, Bobbie (Rick) McNeese, Myrtle Beach, Mary Dampier, Hartsville, JoAnn (Scottie) Mozingo, Madison, GA, Gesiel (Freddie) Keller, Raleigh and Betty Talbert, Myrtle Beach; two brothers, Tommy (Sandy) McKenzie and Beasley (Janie) McKenzie, Hartsville; one half sister, Penny (Jerry) Hall, Hartsville; three grandchildren, Chase, Paxton and Amber. He was preceded in death by one sister, Brenda Morgan and two brothers, J.C. McKenzie and Jimmy McKenzie. www.nortonfh.net
