Billy Heyward Blackwell

Funeral services for Billy Heyward Blackwell age 87, will be held Monday at 4:00 at the Chapel Norton Funeral Home, Hartsville. Rev. Charlie Short will officiate. Burial will be in the Union Methodist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour before the service at the funeral home.

Billy was born in McBee a son of the late Halton and Sallie King Blackwell. He was a retired farmer, a member of Union United Methodist Church and was an Air Force Veteran.

Surviving are two special nieces, Mellisa (Mark) Winburn, Bethune and McKayla Winburn, Bethune; several other nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Billie Wilson Blackwell who was the love of his life for 64 years; two brothers, Vernon Blackwell and James Blackwell and a sister Martha Thompson.
