Betty Gainey Porter

Graveside services for Betty Gainey Porter, age 78, will be held Thursday at 3:00 at the Green Hill Church of God Cemetery directed by Norton Funeral Home. Rev. Charles McLendon will officiate. Visitation will be Thursday from 1:00 – 2:00 pm at the funeral home.

Betty was born in Hartsville a daughter of the late Dewey Gainey and Elma Hancock Gainey. She worked many years at McLendon’s Store in Kelleytown and later at Walmart.

Surviving are two sisters, Willie Kaye Hill, McBee and Nellie Faye Laucht, Hartsville. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Laverne, Ricky and Timmer Gainey and a sister Gail Gainey.
