Betty Lucille Truett

A Celebration of Life service for Betty Lucille Gainey Truett age 84 widow of Otis Truett will be held 2:00pm Thursday at the Chapel of Norton Funeral Home, Bishopville Chapel.  Pastor Champ Squires will officiate.  Visitation will be held one hour prior to the services at the funeral home.  Burial will be in the St. Matthew United Methodist Church Cemetery.

Mrs. Truett passed away on August 28, 2022.  She was born Chesterfield, SC the daughter of the late George Heyward and Maybelle Johnson Gainey.  She will be dearly missed by all that had the pleasure of knowing her.

Left to cherish her memory are grandchildren, Michael Truett, Matthew Truett, Ashley Truett, Blake Truett and Joey Truett; a great grandchild; siblings, Bobby Gainey, Bishopville, Mary Gainey and Debra Berry both of Sumter; several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by four children, Elaine, Joe, Randy and Odette, and five siblings.
