Annie Blackwell Spencer

We are saddened to announce the passing of Mrs. Annie "Frog" Blackwell Spencer.

Mrs. Spencer age 74 passed away Saturday morning surrounded by her loving family.  She was born in Hartsville the daughter of the late Daniel Ben Wallace and Maggie Gainey Wallace.

To know Ann was to love her.  Ann had a wonderful personality and loved everyone. She had a giving soul and that was one of many things that made her special. She loved her family very much. She always made everyone around her smile and laugh until you almost cried. She always helped everyone in need. She loved Jesus Christ and we know she is rejoicing in heaven with her loved ones. Her health has declined tremendously over this last year but prior to that, she lived a good and full live. She enjoyed spending time with her husband Scott, daughter Marie, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Her family was what kept her going. 

Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Scott Spencer, Hartsville; daughter, Marie Blackwell Gardner (Eddie), McBee; brother, James "Pee Wee" Carroll Johnson, McBee; grandchildren, Erica Gardner, McBee, Brittany Peavy (Nick), McBee; great grandchildren, Addison Teal, Paisley Gardner, Maggie Peavy and Coleman Peavy; special niece, Norma Andrews, Darlington, special friend, Susie Aman, her loving fur baby, Prissy.

She was preceded in death by he sister, Kathleen Wallace and her first husband, James "Candy" Blackwell

Funeral services will be held 4:00pm Tuesday at the Chapel of Norton Funeral Home.  Pastor Jeff Steen will officiate.  Burial will be in the McDonald Chapel Church Cemetery.  Visitation will be held one hour prior to the services at the funeral home.
