Andrew Hiram Williams, age 78, of Sumter, SC, went to be with his Lord and Savior on January 13, 2024, after a brief illness.
Andrew was married to his loving wife, Vickie Lynn Williams for 20 years. Andy was an avid fisherman and duck hunter and worked in wholesale car sales in and about Hartsville his whole life. He played football and baseball for Hartsville High school and spent 4 years in the National Guard. Andy accepted Jesus as his savior in his later years and was proud to tell everyone he knew how doing that changed his life.
Andy leaves behind his wife, Vickie, his cherished daughter, Tiffany (Brooks) Watford; two stepsons, Bob (Febra) Schuyler and Marcus Allen; three grandchildren: Olivia Kate, Riley Marie, Brooklynn McKinley and his beloved pet dogs, Harley and ChiChi.
Andy was preceded in death by his mother, Lydia Warr Williams, his father, Joseph Leslie “Jake” Williams, and two brothers, Joseph and David Williams.
It was Andy’s desire that in lieu of a memorial service, family and friends gather at a later date to spread his ashes over Line Island in Santee where he spent a good part of his life fishing and hunting.
We wish to thank the loving care provided to Andy by the Prisma Tuomey Hospital Hospice nurses.
The family asks that any memorials in Andy’s name be made to the Lucky Paws Rescue of Sumter.
Norton Funeral Home & Crematory of Hartsville is honored to be serving the Williams family.
