Mrs. Alice Arbutus Harding, 81, of Hartsville, passed away Friday afternoon, February, 5th, 2021, while at home with her family.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00 on Friday afternoon, February 12th, 2021, from the Chapel of Norton Funeral Home with Reverend Dr. Robin Dease officiating. The family will be receiving friends following the service at the funeral home.
Mrs. Harding was a native of West Virginia, but resided in Hartsville for the past 45 years. She was the founder of the Nutrition Site for the elderly and later founded the Hartsville Salvation Army. She loved working in her yards, but her greatest love by far was her family.
Surviving are her husband of 57 years, James Harding, Sr. of the home; children, Jimmy (Dayle) Harding of Chicago, Illinois and Lynn (Harry) Harding of Conway; grandchildren: Caitlin Marie, James (Marcela) Lance Little, Carolynn Marie Little; great-grandchildren: Angel, Ayden, Jason, Lucas, Sara; and granddaughter-in-law, Chloe Little.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and a grandson, Michael Foster Little.
