Alice Faye Evans Byrd

Funeral services for Alice Faye Evans Byrd, age 72 will be held Saturday at 11:00 at the Chapel Norton Funeral Home. Rev. Russell Gainey will officiate. Burial will be in the Liberty Hill Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. At other times the family will be meeting at the residence of Diane Faile at 500 Virginia Street, Hartsville, S.C.

Mrs. Byrd was born in Hartsville a daughter of the late James Terrell Evans, Sr. and Sarah Dixon Evans. She was a member of the Liberty Hill Baptist Church.

Surviving is her husband, Willard (Red) Byrd, Hartsville; one son, James Albert Byrd, Hartsville; one sister, Diane Faile, Hartsville; two brothers, Ed (Jean) Evans, Hartsville and Gene (Peggy) Evans, Hartsville. Her special Cat “Little Buddy”. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two brothers, Jimmy and Marvin Evans; one sister, Brenda Freeman.
