Albert Benjamin "Abby" Funderburk, Jr.

Mr. Albert Benjamin “Abby” Funderburk, Jr., 78, of Hartsville, passed away Wednesday afternoon, February 24th, 2021, while at Carolina Pines.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 on Friday morning, February 26th, 2021, from the Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery with Reverend Joey Colson and Mr. Travis Walters officiating.  The family will be speaking with friends following the service at the graveside.

A native and lifelong resident of Hartsville, Mr. Funderburk was a son of the late Albert, Sr. & Idell Elmore Funderburk.  He loved hunting and fishing, but his grandson was the true apple of his eye.  Abby retired from Sonoco Security after many years of service.

Surviving are his wife of 55 years, Brenda Byrd Funderburk of the home; children, Chad (Nikki) Funderburk and Lisa (Allen) Idel Adams both of Hartsville; precious grandson, Dylan Jacob Funderburk; and a brother, Timmy Funderburk.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
