Dylan loved baseball! He played from before he could lace his own cleats. He was known for a big swing, a strong arm and the well known nickname “Big D”. He proudly wore #99. He accomplished many things on the diamond. He was a member of the 2015, 2017 Dixie Youth State Championship and World Series teams. He won the 2017 batting championship in the World Series in Oxford, AL. Dylan holds the individual state record for most Home Runs in a game. In 2019 Dylan was inducted into the South Carolina Dixie Youth Hall of Fame. Dylan was to attend College of Charleston on a baseball scholarship.
Aside from baseball Dylan has many loves. God, his family, his friends, cruising the neighborhood on his golf cart with the music too loud, riding 4 wheelers, playing ball, Clemson football, Hartsville Northern League, fishing and his hometown Red Foxes.
Dylan was a brave, courageous, strong, perfect boy who never let his circumstances get him down. He had a smile that brightened every room he walked in and a heart just as big. He fought with everything he had and at the end of his battle- HE WON!
Special thanks to the team at MUSC Children’s Oncology clinic for the great care received through his journey.
