William Glenn Freeman, Sr.



Mr. William Glenn Freeman, Sr., 90, of Hartsville, passed away Tuesday morning, June 6th, 2017, at Carolina Pines RMC with his family at his bedside.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Burial will follow in Magnolia Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends one hour prior to the service at the church.

Mr. Freeman was born in Society Hill, a son of the late Chap & Edith Freeman. He was a Navy Veteran of WWII working as an engineer. Glenn was a member of the American Legion Hut, Sonoco Old Timers Club, and retired from Sonoco Products Company after 30 years of service.

He and his wife, Peggy, happily celebrated their 69th Wedding Anniversary on the 4th of June.

Surviving are his wife of the home; son, William Glenn “Buster” Freeman, Jr., and wife, Margaret of Hartsville; grandchildren: Rebekah Nichole Freeman of Blufton and Jacob Bradley “Brad” Freeman, and fiancé, Kara Connolly of Little River; two sisters, Grace Blackman and Pat (Vernon) Watford; and one brother, Chap (Jill) Freeman.
