I'm so sorry to hear about Gene's passing. I always remember him making me laugh whenever he came into Shoney's! He always could find a way to make someone'e day better. I remember when I graduated high school and he asked what I wanted for a gift. I told him tan mats for my car and he went out and got them and they're still in use 2 cars later. I'd fallen out of touch with him, but do remember him always walking into Shoney's and always taking the time to talk to us. He'll me missed!

I am so sorry for your loss. Gene went to school with my mother an would often stop by for a visit. He was a very nice an caring man who often spoke of his daughter an grandson. I am surley gonna miss gene and his visits a couple of summers ago he came an planted a beautiful rose bush an my house for me and my daughter i'm glad i have it for everytime i see and water it i will think of my friend gene:( I will be praying for the family during this time of sadness.
